We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Carpenter to join our team. The Lead Carpenter will oversee and coordinate all carpentry activities on our projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of carpenters and other construction workers, providing guidance, instruction, and support as needed.
  2. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute carpentry projects accurately and efficiently.
  3. Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of carpentry work within project schedules.
  4. Manage materials, tools, and equipment efficiently, ensuring proper usage and maintenance to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
  5. Perform various carpentry tasks including framing, installing doors and windows, building structures, and finishing work.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company standards for cleanliness and professionalism.
  7. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
  8. Train and mentor junior carpenters, helping them develop their skills and grow within the company.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and clients to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and expectations.


Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in carpentry, with a proven track record of success in a lead role.
  2. Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and best practices.
  3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve excellence.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  5. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and craftsmanship.
  6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  7. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  8. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  9. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required to meet project deadlines.
