Build My Future is a hands-on career exploration event hosted by the New River Valley Home Builders Association, Building Futures Foundation, and Montgomery County Public Schools that brings Montgomery County 6th grade students to a single host school site for a day of interactive, trade-focused activities. Students visit booths hosted by industry members to give them exposure to various careers in construction, such as framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, heavy equipment, design, and more. The goal is for them to leave with a real sense of what a career in residential construction looks like.



Time

Set up begins at 7:00am. Breakdown begins at 2:45pm
