The NRVHBA presents the 2026 Annual Excellence in Building Awards Gala on January 31, 2026, held at Eastern Divide Brewing in Blacksburg, VA.

Saddle up for an evening of Southern charm and spirited celebration as we bring a touch of Derby Day elegance to the New River Valley. We’ll toast the finest in home building, enjoy good company, and crown the champions of the industry—no photo finish required.

So select your bow tie, pick your hat, and don your Derby best—this is one unforgettable night of awards, style, and celebration you won’t want to miss!

5:30: Check-in & Cocktail Hour - Check-in and enjoy a selection of hors d'oeuvres & signature cocktails. 

6:15: Gourmet Dinner & Awards Presentation - Join us as we applaud the innovative projects, visionary leadership, and creative practices that set new benchmarks in the industry. 

8:00 Derby ‘N’ Dance Party - Experience the thrill of custom horse races on the big screen, high-energy music from an interactive DJ, and the fun of placing your funny money bets at the Wagering Windows for a chance to win prizes. A lively mix of racing, music, and friendly competition awaits!

Semi-formal with a Derby Twist. Dress to impress with sophistication and style; we will have additional prizes awarded to the Best Dressed of the Night, Best Dressed Duo, & Best Hat!  

RSVP: We ask that you register by January 16th. Seating is limited, and this is an event you won't want to miss.

Tickets: $100 per person. Open to NRVHBA Members and their guests. Includes Hors d'oeuvres, two drink tickets, and dinner. Additional drinks available for purchase.
